"Where you find Hurting people there you will find a Harvest!"
Brian Hilts was just a normal small town southern guy who had a burning bush experience with God. At the age of twenty Brian accepted Christ as his personal Savior. It was then that God begin to deal with Brian about the condition of Humanity and the plan and purpose that God had for Brian's life. Until that time Brian had suspended sentences and in and out of trouble with the law. It was in Brian's conversion to Christ that he began to understand the impact of Christianity upon society.

"Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And of some have compassion, making a difference:"  Jude 1:21-22

Brian then began to travel as an evangelist but never quite saw a harvest or what he had dreamed of would happen as he ministered God's word and followed God's will in his life. Through several undeniable experiences he finally entered into a Harvest field of Convicts. Brian and his wife Julie have been serving in full-time ministry since 1993. Brian and Julie along with their three children reside in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Commission Ministries ministers in local and regional criminal detention centers as well as regional major prisons in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Please visit the link titled - "from the cell to the cross". This is a personal story from one of Brian's volunteer team members, when Commission Ministries recently ministered at the Grimes prison unit in Newport, Arkansas.
