January 2005

Dear Loyal Companions to the Ministry,

Please allow me to say that it was only through God using you that we were able to continue and pursue our calling in the Great Commission. The year 2004 was a year of labor with our whole hearts, in the Lord's vineyard. Men and women were given the opportunities to make changes, and receive encouragement through our ministry.

This is such a small price to pay to see and feel God's love flowing through us and to them. This kind of act reveals the true light of the world, Christ inner sanctuary where light dwells beyond reason. Continue to reach with me into this inner power of Hope, Light and Christ and we shall not be found wanting, let us learn together what giving enables us to do and share with others this blessing. Learn with me there is no greater love… that if we give all our possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Here is a picture of our ministry team taking in some fruit into a county jail for Christmas, not all the men are in the picture including myself and Donnie Kelly who works hard in this jail for the men and our ministry. Also this is a prison where we gave away over 1000 Christmas Cards, 800 cups of coffee, a concert and four services to receive Christ.

I do want to say that I believe the Lord has given me assurance of our outreach and growth in our ministry to the people for the year 2005 to those who truly are as sheep without a shepherd who are desperate in their lives or destructive behavior. Only Christ can change their identity crisis. Here is a sample of what I Hope for in our ministry this year.

  • First, a new goal for 2005 is to give support by feeding those in our community in our office and chapel area. Many of these are people who are very poor and destitute. It will be created as a soup line in its structure. Pray for us to accomplish this goal in its time. It is based on the six secrets to the Harvest.
  • Second, we are also in the process of remodeling a room for children to be taught in our Hispanic outreach. Some of you gave towards this and we have purchased the materials needed to complete the project for 2005.
  • Third, our ministry is continuously seeking and following the Lord in our prison outreach, this is our High calling and we continue to endeavor to fulfill this call. Pray for its continuous effectiveness, along with new jails we are making contact with for 2005.
  • Fourth, this year we are hopefully expanding our ministry to provide aftercare training for former inmates to increase their computer skills and some job placement training.
  • I have learned a very important principle in Gods word through one verse. Zachariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Pray for us this year that we can do much more with His Spirit's ability.

I do ask that as you continue to receive our letters that you remember us this year as well. Every New Year has its uniqueness and challenges. When we do act in love it is profiting to us, to the recipients and it allows God to move in our lives and theirs forever and eternally. Your donations are reaching into the inner lives of men and women giving them Christ...

Let us fulfill the Great Commission together and may we never forget the words of Joseph while in prison:
"Remember me when it is well with thee."  Genesis 40:14

Our acts of Compassion make an impression; you will only see Christians doing this work together in Christ name.

Thank you for reaching the Harvest with us together as one,

    Brian & Julia Hilts
