September/October2005

Dear ministry friends,

Greetings to you this month, we have faced new challenges and I have determined by Gods grace and support to do them. First allow me to share with you what we have done this month or may I say our ministry team has done.

Brother Ben Tinsley and Ronnie King went to the McClaud unit in Oklahoma, it was a new prison and they preached a weekend service there and
they were well received. This paves the way for future contacts and it was a wonderful report to hear of. Men in prison are always receptive the large majority of them are willing to listen to what you have to say, they heard the Good News and now have truth in their hands and hopefully in their hearts as well.

May God give the increase as we labor not in vain, there is a time to sow and a time to reap, as long as the earth remaineth there shall be seed time and harvest, I believe that one mans sows and another reaps. Regardless of who we are I believe we are in a time of reaping a Harvest as a priority and the seeds of generations are now being reaped into Gods glorious eternal Kingdom. The increase is ours thanks be unto The Lord of the Harvest.

This month also Brother Donnie Kelly and I through some connections we had in Northwest Arkansas were able to secure our third County jail for ministry. Now we will have three major jails both in Arkansas and in Oklahoma, that will be led by our ministry teams. Jails are the next best thing to prisons if not better, people are very ripe in a jail as they await sentencing and reality is facing them. Our ministry in jails now includes, Sequoyah, Sebastian and Washington Counties. Again this is only possible through teaching and training other faithful men who will carry the light into prisons.
I thank them all for their sacrifices of time or the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to be carried into our communities.

This month I have also began to work with the local Homeless shelter in light of alternative sentencing and housing for men and women as they leave prison. This has been a huge undertaking on my part but I believe God has a future of souls from prison seeking shelter in our society once again.
I am excited about this and ask you to be also, this is a wonderful opportunity to bridge the gap from prison to society once again.

Our ministry also this month hosted a Hispanic revival in Martin Luther King, Jr park, here in our city, Ft. Smith, Arkansas. The people were so excited, So much effort went into this event but it was a glorious event and broke new ground in our community for the Spanish speaking people.
We love them and saw them come together to reach out. Martin Luther King, Jr would have loved to have seen his park used in this way, it matched his message.

Pray for us; we have many needs including financially and materially. We have done much with little, but God has always pulled us through in many ways. Be in prayer for us that God will keep His hands upon us and we fail not in his calling and will. I pray God's peace be with you all.

Thank you so much for all your generosity and support,

Brian Hilts
